Headaches & Migraines Relief, Help & Treatment

Do you suffer from Headaches or Migraines?
Learn how AtlasProFilax can help.
The AtlasPROfilax treatment
AtlasPROfilax can help to improve oxygenated blood flow to the brain and cause relief of intracranial pressure and pressure on the brainstem. With an improvement in posture, the suboccipital muscles (short muscles at the base of the skull) and fascia are relaxed, and pressure is relieved on the neck. The alteration of muscular, articular, and tendon structures that results in a compression of blood vessels, arteries, and certain nerves will be eased, taking away the cause of the recurring cycle of migraines and headache.
AtlasPROfilax can relieve pain from migraines and headaches with a safe one-time treatment.
Medications are more effective if used earlier in an attack, but the regular use of medications may result in medication overuse headaches in which the headaches become more severe and more frequent.
Migraines
A migraine is a headache of varying intensity, often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light, sound, and smell. Usually, the headaches affect one half of the head, are throbbing in nature, and last from a few hours to three days. Other related symptoms could include vomiting, and sensitivity to light, sound, or smell. The pain is generally made worse by physical activity. Up to one-third of people affected have a vision disorder or see an aura.
Migraines are believed to be due to a mixture of environmental and genetic factors. About two-thirds of cases run in families. They are, however, believed to involve the nerves and blood vessels of the brain.
A misaligned atlas, or C1, can exert pressure on the internal carotid artery, the internal jugular vein, and put traction on the vertebral artery. The vertebral artery is responsible for supplying blood to the cerebellum; the carotid artery is responsible for vascularization of the brain.
Compression can cause a reduction in the flow of blood to the brain, depending on whether it affects the artery or the vein. This explains sensations such as pressure in the head, palor, and/or the pulsation in the head. A decreased oxygenation of the brain causes a temporary malfunction of the nerve cells, the so-called neurological deficit, which can last anything from a few hours to a few days.
In some people, misalignment of the atlas produces an alteration in the circulation of the cerebrospinal liquid, causing an increase in intracranial pressure, also termed endocranial idiopathic hypertension.
Another potential factor is chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) which can result in severe headaches, mental confusion, visual disturbances, and more.
Stress, over-work, and anxiety, and muscular tension can all contribute to the presentation of headaches with various degrees of pain.
Of Muscular Origin.
A headache can have its origin in the alteration of the position of the Atlas, which usually results in an increase in tension and inflammation of muscles in the neck region. Such permanent tension produces painful nerve, tendon and muscle reflexes that underlie and exacerbate the headache.
Poor posture can lead to neck pressure and increased tension and inflammation of the muscles in the neck region. Perpetual tension produces painful nerve, tendon, and muscle reflexes that trigger and intensify a headache. Physical imbalance of the neck causes headaches and muscular pain that can last for days. If this poor posture is fixed, it will ease headache pain and migraines.
Of Vascular Origin (blood Supply)
A mal rotation of the atlas can result in vertebral artery compression and a subsequent decrease in oxygenated blood flow to the brain. Diminished oxygenation of the brain causes a short-term malfunction of the nerve cells called, a neurological deficit, which can cause migraines and headaches that last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. The atlas malrotation can also put stress on the brainstem by decreasing circulation of the cerebrospinal liquid- a crucial part of the central nervous system. This decreased brainstem function can also be a cause of migraines and headaches. Another possible factor is chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) and outflow obstructions which can cause severe headaches, mental confusion/ brain fog, visual disorders, and other symptoms.
A correction of the mal rotation with the AltasPROfilax treatment can help alleviate or abate symptoms of headaches and migraines.
